Revelation Revealed,
reuniting the cast and crew of the Doctor Who story Revelation of the
Daleks.
The
event took place at THE TABARD THEATRE - 6TH JULY. Our guests included: Nicola Bryant
(Peri), Eric Saward (Writer), Cy Town (Dalek), Trevor Cooper
(Takis), Colin Spaull
(Lilt), Alan Spalding (Production Designer), Alec Linstead (Head of
Stengos) and Steve Emerson (Stunts).
There

Nicola
Bryant played the part of Peri
Brown from 1984 to 1986, first with Peter Davison, and then with Colin
Baker as the Doctor.
After appearing in Doctor Who she has had other television roles,
including a part in Blackadder's Christmas Carol. In the early-mid
1990s, she also co-starred with Baker in a series of made-for-video
science fiction films entitled The Stranger for BBV. She also appeared
alongside Baker, Davison, Sylvester McCoy and Jon Pertwee in another BBV
production. Nicola has reprised the role of Peri in several of the Big
Finish Productions Doctor Who spin-off audio plays. She also directed
UNIT: The Wasting and Judge Dredd: 99 Code Red!. A DVD documentary,
"In The Footsteps of The Two Doctors", following Nicola's
return to some of the locations featured in the Doctor Who serial The
Two Doctors was released in late 2006.
After
contributing his first script, 'The Visitation', Eric Saward was
invited to take over from Antony Root as script editor on season 19 of
Doctor Who, a position he then held until his departure during season
23. He officially contributed three scripts to the TV show 'The
Visitation', 'Resurrection of the Daleks', 'Revelation of the Daleks'
and he also wrote the Radio 4 serial Slipback which was broadcast during
the 1985 hiatus in the TV show.
Cy Town has
appeared in no less than 25 episodes of “Doctor Who” as a Dalek
alongside five different Doctors. But Cy’s first appearance was in ‘The
Silurians’ playing a Technician. He also starred in an episode of
‘Revenge of the Cybermen’ as a Vogan, a Haemovore in ‘The Curse of
Fenric’, an extra in ‘Invasion of the Dinosaurs’ and ‘The Invisible
Enemy’.Cy credits also include
as a Storm Trooper in ‘Star Wars’ and a Federation Trooper in ‘Blakes’
7’!
Alec Linstead
also appeared as Sgt. Osgood in ‘The Daemons’ alongside Jon Pertwee,
returning in 1974 to appear in Tom Baker’s first story ‘Robot’ as
Jellicoe in 1974. His final appearance in ‘Doctor Who’ was as the
Head of Stengos in the first episode of ‘Revelation of the Daleks’.
He has also made appearances in ‘Lexx’, ‘Silent Witness’, ‘The
Mrs. Bradley Mysteries’, ‘Goodnight Sweetheart’, ‘Poirot’,
‘Lovejoy’ and ‘The Tripods’.
Trevor Cooper
has had a vast career with over 90 television and film credits to his
name. Apart from ‘Doctor Who’, he has starred in “Murphy’s Law”, “The
Ruby in the Smoke”, “Vanity Fair”, “Star Cops” and “Our Friends in the
North”.
Colin Spaull
returned to “Doctor Who” in the new series episodes; ‘The Age of Steel’
and ‘Rise of the Cybermen’, also directed by Graeme Harper. Other guest
appearances include: “The Last Detective”, “Down to Earth”, “Brittas
Empire”, “Skyes”, “Z-Cars” and “Crossroads”!
Steve Emerson has
worked on 'The Macra Terror', 'The War Games', 'The Claws of Axos', 'Fronios'
and of course 'Revelation of the Daleks'.
Alan Spalding
was the production designer for ‘Revelation of the Daleks’ and was
also featured on the DVD Extras. Other notable credits include:
‘Solo’, ‘The Lion, the Witch, & the Wardrobe’, ‘Prince
Caspain and the Voyage of the Dawn Treader’, ‘The Silver Chair’,
‘They Do It with Mirrors’ and ‘The Mirror Crack’d’.

Our
aim is to reunite members of the cast and crew of 'Revelation of the
Daleks'. The event
will consist of a discussion panel, followed by autographs and
photograph opportunities.
